Penguin TV ... It's Showtime!<\/h1>\n

We think we're watching penguins on a webcam at the zoo. They think they're filming a reality TV show! Tune into Penguin TV and see what Horatio, Myrtle and our cast of prima donna penguins are up to!<\/span><\/h4>\n

Niamh Sharkey and Owen Churcher are delighted to announce their new picture book Penguin TV<\/em>\u00a0will be published on June 12th with Gill Books.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s Niamh's first ever Irish published picture book after 20 years + in picture book making and she couldn\u2019t be more excited!<\/p>\n

Animation<\/h1>\n

Niamh is the creator and executive producer of two animated pre-school series on Disney Junior & Disney Plus: Henry Hugglemonster<\/em> and Eureka.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Airing in more than 150 countries worldwide, Henry Hugglemonster<\/em> follows the adventures of fun-loving, five year old Henry, the middle child in a happy, wacky close-knit monster family \u2014 The Hugglemonsters.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The series is directed by Emmy Award winning director Norton Virgien, and was developed\u00a0in collaboration with Brown Bag Films.<\/a> It was adapted from I'm a Happy Hugglewug<\/em> published by Walker Books<\/a>. The illustration style of the book is retained in the CG animation.<\/p>\n

Niamh is co-creator of Eureka<\/em> along with Norton Virgien, and is executive producer and supervising art director on the series.<\/p>\n

Eureka<\/em> follows the adventures of a young inventor living in a fantastical prehistoric world. She\u2019s a big thinker who\u2019s ahead of her time. Way, way ahead of her time \u2014 in fact, she invented the wheel.<\/p>\n

Eureka<\/em> is produced by Academy Award nominated animation studio Brown Bag Films in association with Disney Junior.<\/p>\n

The series voice cast includes: Ruth Righi as Eureka; Ren\u00e9e Elise Goldsberry and Lil Rel Howery as her parents, Roxy and Rollo; Javier Mu\u00f1oz as her teacher, Ohm; Kai Zen as Pepper, Devin Trey Campbell as Barry and Fred Tatasciore as Murphy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Picture Books<\/h1>\n

Niamh Sharkey is an award-winning author and illustrator of children's picture books.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Her books have won numerous awards including the prestigious Mother Goose award for the best new illustrator, and The Bisto Book of the Year (Now the KPMG Children's Books Ireland Awards) for her first two picture books; Tales of Wisdom and Wonder<\/em> and The Gigantic Turnip<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Among her most recent picture books are A Field Guide to Leaflings<\/em> and Hello Bird<\/em> published by Templar Books.<\/p>\n

'This interactive picturebook by the well-known Niamh Sharkey and newcomer Owen Churcher contains a wealth of tree knowledge. Niamh's books have been translated into over twenty-eight languages.<\/p>\n

Tales from Old Ireland<\/em> was included in the International Board of Books for Young People (IBBY) Honour Book List in 2002.<\/p>\n

She has exhibited her artwork many times both in Ireland and abroad, including at The Illustration Cupboard (London), The Dylan Thomas Centre (Swansea), Seven Stories (Newcastle)<\/a> and The Museum of American Illustration (New York).<\/p>\n

She is a member of Illustrators Ireland<\/a> and VAI<\/a>.<\/p>\n
